We want your first visit to feel comfortable and unhurried. Here’s everything you
need to know to be prepared — or if you’d prefer, just give us a call and we’ll walk
you through it.
When you arrive, you’ll check in at our front desk and complete a brief medical history form. Our clinical team will then run a series of painless diagnostic tests, including high-resolution imaging of your retina.
Your doctor will meet with you one-on-one to review your results, explain your diagnosis clearly, and discuss treatment options together. No decisions are made until you understand your care plan and feel confident moving forward.
Please plan for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for your initial visit.
We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare. Because coverage can vary, we recommend confirming that our practice is in-network with your plan before your appointment.
Call us at (310) 269-8565 and our team will verify your coverage. Office hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
We’ll place drops in both eyes so your doctor can examine your retina thoroughly.
Dilation is painless but will temporarily affect your vision — here’s how to prepare.
Your eyes will be light-sensitive for
several hours afterward — even on
cloudy days.
Vision may be blurry for a few hours. We
recommend having someone drive you
home, especially for your first visit.
The drops take about 20 minutes to
fully work. That time is already built
into your visit — no additional waiting.
Save time by completing your forms before you arrive. If you prefer, you can also
fill them out when you check in — just plan to arrive 15 minutes early.
Having trouble with the forms? Call us at (310) 269-8565 and we’ll walk you
through it or mail them to you.
