Dr. Pradeep Prasad

VITREORETINAL SURGEON
Former Professor & Fellowship Director, UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute

Dr. Pradeep Prasad has dedicated his career to two pursuits: restoring vision and ensuring every patient truly understands their diagnosis. As former Chief of Ophthalmology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Fellowship Program Director at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute, he has trained over 100 residents and fellows— teaching the next generation of eye surgeons the same principles he brings to every consultation: precision, patience, and clear communication.

Dr. Prasad specializes in the full spectrum of vitreoretinal conditions, from diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration to complex surgical cases. His approach combines academic-level expertise with a genuine commitment to explaining even the most complicated diagnoses in terms patients and their families can understand. Because when you’re facing a threat to your vision, knowledge isn’t just power—it’s peace of mind.
